FAQs
What should I expect from a coaching session?
Each weekly session will focus on going over your meal plan for the week where we can discuss any necessary changes. If you’re interested in miracle-minded coaching, we can do a short session at the end. If not, we will do basic health coaching to discuss any obstacles and come up with a plan to overcome them.
How do you know what i want to eat?
Every new client starts by filling out a quick and comprehensive intake form similar to one you fill out at a doctor’s office, except the questions are centered on what you like to eat, how much you like to cook, which meals need to be eaten on the go, and how many family members will be eating the food with you. This information helps me to create a personalized plan that will fit into your life.
What if I’m not ready to go full vegan right away?
As a health coach, I’m ready to meet you where you are in your journey. No judgement. I will hold you as accountable as you’re ready and I can create a plan for you that eases you into becoming vegan. My husband is an omnivore, but will eat my vegan food. I understand personal preferences and respect your choices.
If i quit eating meat, where will i get my protein?
You’ll get your protein from the same place cows, pigs, and other animals get it, from plants. Eating plants yourself cuts out the middle man (the animal) and so you’ll actually consume higher amounts of protein by cutting out the meat.
Have you ever heard the saying, “strong as an ox”? What do oxes eat? PLANTS.
What about calcium?
Calcium also comes from plants and they aren’t carcinogenic like milk and cheese that contain casein. You’ll receive all the benefits of calcium without the added risk of cancer.
When you say plants, does that mean i’ll just be eating salad?
The simple answer is NO! Not unless you love salads and want to just eat salad. You’ll eat a variety of foods, including sandwiches, wraps, french fries, rice, etc. just like omnivores eat except they will be healthier and more filling because of the nutritional content.
What does plant-based vegan mean?
A plant-based vegan eats foods made from plants, not in a plant. Foods we don’t eat are oil, processed foods, white rice - flour - and sugar, and no animal products.
The difference between vegan and plant-based vegan is that vegans will eat anything without animal products. A plant-based vegan eats only plants and plant-based foods.
